Basic Bread Loaf

Ingredients: 2.75 cup flour (I use @farmersmill sprayfree wheat flour) I also like to do 50/50 wheat and spelt mix; 0.5 tsp salt; 2 tsp sugar (honey may work too); 0.75 cup warm water; 0.25 cup milk; 2 tsbp olive oil; 2 tsp active dried yeast

Finally - I’m getting around to sharing my basic bread recipe. You can add 1 TBSP of gluten flour for extra softness - you can get this at your local @bininnwholefoods makes one loaf or 6-8 bread rolls and the dough is made in the bread maker for ease on time and energy.

2 ¾ cup flour (I use @farmersmill sprayfree wheat flour) I also like to do 50/50 wheat and spelt mix
½ tsp salt
2 tsp sugar (honey may work too)
¾ cup warm water
¼ cup milk
2 tsbp olive oil
2 tsp active dried yeast

Instructions

Add the ingredients in the order listed above, making sure that the salt is not near the yeast.
Set to the dough setting and click start
When it is done, take it out, shape into a log and place into a greased loaf tin, place a tea towel over it and leave to rise in a warm spot (at least 1/2 hour) then preheat the oven to 200*C while you’re waiting for the loaf to rise.
Bake for 25 to 30 mins
The loaf is done when you tip it out of the pan and it sounds hollow when you knock on the bottom.
I like to melt a bit of butter or milk and brush over the bread as soon as it comes out of the oven.
Allow the bread to cool completely before slicing, if you are patient enough!

Notes

For people without bread maker try the below:

Add wet ingredients with sugar then sprinkle yeast over for 10 mins. Add dry ingredients and knead for 10 mins till stretchy then let proof in warm place for at least 30 mins. Then shape into loaf tin and let proof for another 45 mins x
