The house

that cake built.

Real cake - baked with local ingredients, seasonal fruit, and organic flour in a warm, busy kitchen filled with laughter and messy little hands.

It started with me, Andi, baking for friends and family - birthdays, baby showers, those “can you just bring a slice?” moments that I was always more than happy to say yes to. Back then, I was working full-time managing a building company. It was fast-paced and demanding, but baking was my quiet place. My creative outlet. A way to give. When I had my daughter Harper, I knew I couldn’t go back to that old rhythm. I wanted to be present, to raise my girl while still doing something meaningful for others. One day, my boss’s wife - whose kids’ birthday cakes I always made on the side - turned to me and said, “Why don’t you start your own baking business?” And that was it. The seed for Harpers House was planted.

  • As a mum, I also get it. I know what kids actually like to eat, and how to sneak in nourishment without the eye rolls. I’ve been baking since I was a teenager (truth be told, it was my way of avoiding homework), and after years of trial and error - and plenty of taste tests - I’ve learned how to make simple, seasonal food that works in real life, not just Pinterest boards.

  • I'm currently studying to become a certified health and lifestyle coach, so I can support others not just with food, but with the confidence to care for themselves and their families. Whether you're here for a celebration cake, a nourishing recipe, tips for more intentional cooking, or simply to slow down and savour - welcome! Harpers House was made for you.
